Tristan and Isolde, Prelude , Live Performance with the London Orchestra of the City

I had the honor to collaborate with the London Orchestra of the City, conducted by Chris Hopkins, to visualize the Prelude of Wagner’s Tristan and Isolde, as part of performances taken place at the International Art Festival #Tribe17.
Conditions were not optimal, but I managed to sync my synaesthetic visuals with Chris performance.
Initially I developed a system to get each instrument midi data to convert automatically to a real time fluid emission in Touchdesigner, so my mission was only to retime based on the live performance. But this technique was lacking human intuitive interpretation, so I decided to pre-record hand-made strokes that I plugged into the fluid system, and I was only retiming them in real time.
This is something that passionates me and I am already preparing the ground to collaborate with more orchestras.
